Night Chemical Applicator

Brief Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Mixing chemicals with water in sprayer tanks and applying the pesticides in the needed amount
• Responsible for manipulating nozzles, tubes or hoses during spray application and cleaning
• Servicing equipment to ensure operating efficiency
• Use required PPE per OSHA regulations
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Bio-security protocols, in greenhouse setting.
• Able to read and write measurements in ounces and pounds

• Basic knowledge of chemicals used in agriculture environment
• Must be able to read and understand chemical labels
• Able to operate a forklift

Education And/or Experience

• At least 1-2 years' experience in a greenhouse environment
• At least 1-year experience in spraying
• Experience in the agricultural application of chemicals including the operation and maintenance of sprayers, floaters and other chemical application equipment is preferred

• Must be 21+ years of age
• Flexible availability for work hours
• Must be able to maintain a positive attitude
• Able to work independently and in a team environment
• This position requires a 40-hour minimum work week
• Willingness to work weekends
• Ability to use required tools to perform job duties
• Authorized to work in the United States

Summary
Chemical Applicator is responsible for properly mixing and applying the pesticides in the needed amounts. Maintain accurate records of products and quantities used as directed by Manager and responsible for checking filters and drainage.
