Construction Worker

Strata Networks
is seeking a dependable Construction Worker to support the construction and maintenance of our telecommunications. This role involves hands-on outdoor work, operating tools and equipment, and supporting crew leads and equipment operators in the field.

What You'll Do

• Assist heavy equipment operators with loading, unloading, fueling, and basic maintenance

• Place and maintain underground and aerial cables

• Hand dig trenches and expose utilities using shovels and hydro-vac equipment

• Operate hand tools and power tools for telecom construction

• Install and maintain pedestals, poles, and subscriber equipment

• Set up traffic control (cones, barrels, signs)

• Restore work areas, including backfill and roadway patching

• Keep worksites and shop areas clean and safe

• Perform other duties as assigned by crew leads or supervisors

What We're Looking For

• Valid driver's license with a good driving record

• Ability to lift 75–100 lbs and perform strenuous physical labor

• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions

• Willingness to work varying shifts, on-call, weekends, holidays, and occasional out-of-town assignments

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong attention to safety, detail, and quality workmanship

• Basic computer skills and ability to follow plans and instructions

• Must be able to pass a drug screening

Working Conditions

• Outdoor construction sites year-round

• Long days during peak construction season (typically 10–15 hours)

• Exposure to traffic, weather, dirt, dust, and heavy equipment
