Driver - CDL

Full Time: 7:30am-4pm - flexible to pick up shift as needed
Current Valid & Clear Florida Drivers License
Preferably have CDL with passenger endorsement
Job Summary
Transport the residents of John Knox Village to and from destinations in a safe and courteous manner.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities

• Routinely provides assistance in lifting and transferring residents and lifting/balancing the equivalent of 50 pounds.
• Assists residents and other transportation drivers as needed.
• Maintains routine records of all inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs performed on any vehicle.
• Works days, evenings, and weekends to perform required duties.
• Participates in routine department safety and disaster policy training.
• Keeps vehicle clean and in a neat appearance both inside and out at all times.
• Provides safe transportation by obeying all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Observes and reports any changes in resident behavior to Transportation Supervisor.
• Delivers prescriptions to and from the nursing staff and Oak Park Pharmacy.
• Other duties as requested or assigned.

Working Conditions

• Employees may be exposed to inclement weather conditions and high vehicular and radio traffic.

Educational, Physical, And Other Requirements

• Must pass Level 2 background screening through the Florida Clearinghouse (Learn more: )
• Employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations. • Valid Florida drivers license in good standing.
• CDL with passenger endorsement with a current DOT Medical Card.
• Adherence to all policies / procedures and safe work practices.
• Ability to read a map and follow its directions.

• Maintain a professional, respectful, friendly demeanor with all residents, family members, guests, and staff at all times.
