Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Fry Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, excellent cooking skills, and experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role involves preparing and cooking fried dishes according to established recipes and quality standards, ensuring a high level of food safety and customer satisfaction. The Fry Cook will contribute to creating a welcoming dining experience and support the overall operation of our restaurant.
Duties
- Prepare and cook fried menu items in accordance with recipes and presentation standards
- Ensure all food is cooked to the proper temperature and quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the fry station and kitchen area
- Follow food safety procedures, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation practices
- Assist with meal preparation, including portioning ingredients and assembling dishes
- Support the kitchen team during busy periods to ensure timely service
- Adhere to dietary guidelines and menu specifications, including dietary department or aide experience if applicable
- Maintain inventory levels of supplies needed for fry station operations
- Clean all necessary kitchen ware used on day to day basis
- Assist with other kitchen duties such as food prep, plating, or serving as needed
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation or cooking, preferably in a restaurant or culinary setting
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling techniques
- Experience with menu planning or fine dining is a plus
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking methods related to frying and meal preparation
- Background in the food industry, catering, or food service environments is desirable
- Experience in dietary aide roles or dietary departments can be beneficial but is not required
- Proven ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
