Talula's Table — acclaimed restaurant, gourmet market, bakery, and coffee bar — is seeking a PM Line Cook / Chef Assistant to join our afternoon and evening kitchen team. This role includes line work for dinner service as well as prep that supports our market and café offerings.

This is a great opportunity for a thoughtful, motivated cook who loves working with beautiful ingredients, values craftsmanship, and enjoys being part of a small, collaborative kitchen.

Please note: Applicants must live in Kennett Square or the surrounding area. Philadelphia-based applicants will not be considered.

About the Role

The PM Line Cook / Chef Assistant works primarily mid-afternoon through early evening, supporting daily prep, market production, and dinner service. This is a hands-on position that requires focus, flexibility, and pride in craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute daily prep for both market offerings and PM service
• Assist with and execute line service as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation
• Uphold all food safety, sanitation, and quality standards
• Manage time effectively while working independently
• Support the kitchen team wherever needed
• Handle ingredients with care, attention to detail, and respect

• Prior professional kitchen experience required (prep and/or line)
• Strong knife skills and comfort working with high-quality ingredients
• Reliable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
• Calm, focused approach in a fast-paced environment
• Availability for afternoons, evenings, and weekends
• Reliable transportation to and from Kennett Square
• Team-oriented mindset and willingness to jump in where needed
• Genuine passion for food and cooking
