Direct Support Professional Floater

The ICF Floater will receive pre-assigned shifts weekly. The Floater must be flexible to changes and will work all hours and locations assigned. Must have the ability to be an effective communicator. Floaters will have the ability to shift focus at a moment's notice from a medically fragile home to a behaviorally challenged home. Must complete all required trainings, including Individual specific trainings prior to working alone. Required to have a personal vehicle.

Floater will observe, supervise and provide assistance and training to persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a supporting living setting. The Floater will assist individuals to live in a healthy safe environment. Will teach functional daily living skill including personal care, behavior, communication and social skills as well as community-based skills as outlined in the individual's service plan. The floater will assist with meal preparation, housekeeping, and leisure and community inclusion as well as document individuals' progress on goals and objectives; complete incident reports, attendance sheets, health logs and other recordkeeping forms as necessary. Floater is required to be alert and awake at all times while on duty. Will comply with ARCA policies and procedures when responsible for individuals and/or program money. May provide transportation for individuals in company or personal vehicle.

Floaters will provide all services to individuals in a manner that respects and supports the rights, privacy and dignity of the individuals served.
