Our campus is located at 1601 Maple Street, Carrollton, GA 30118.

Faculty and staff members are expected to be physically present on campus as needed to support the in-person educational experience and on-campus vitality at the University of West Georgia. Depending upon teaching assignments and student demand, this could include the Carrollton or Newnan campuses.

Job Summary
This position supports students and faculty within the Departments of Economics and Marketing. The role is responsible for a range of administrative and operational functions, including records management, purchasing and expense processing, travel and reimbursement support, budget reconciliation, and website and digital content administration. In addition, the position works closely with students in support of academic programs, certificates, scholarships, experiential learning initiatives, and related communications. The position also collaborates with departmental leadership on activities such as course and schedule coordination, enrollment and registration support, academic materials coordination, survey administration, and student employment administration. The role further supports semester-specific reporting and administrative processes and is expected to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in handling faculty and student information.

Responsibilities

Support departmental administrative and financial operations in accordance with university policies and procedures. Assist with purchasing, expense processing, travel support, budget tracking, and related documentation. Serve as a P-Card Holder, understanding and adhering to guidelines and responsibilities established in the UWG P-Card Plan. Maintain organized and confidential departmental records and files. Support data reporting, compliance, and accreditation-related activities.

Serve as a primary point of contact for students regarding departmental processes and academic inquiries. Assist with course-related requests, documentation, and coordination with appropriate university offices. Support departmental scholarships, academic programs, and co-curricular initiatives. Assist faculty and advisors with advising-related administrative support

Provide administrative and budgetary support for department-sponsored programs, experiential learning initiatives, and affiliated centers. Assist with planning and coordination of departmental events, meetings, and outreach activities. Support department-affiliated student organizations and experiential learning opportunities.

4 -
Provide front office and general administrative support, including communications, correspondence, and materials preparation. Support departmental communications and website content. Assist with supervision and scheduling of student employees.

5 -
Perform other duties as assigned in support of departmental and institutional goals.

Required Qualifications
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent with relevant administrative experience; or Bachelor¿s degree with experience in an office or administrative environment. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality. Proficiency with standard office productivity tools

Proposed Salary

$20.47 Hourly. Paid on a Bi-Weekly Basis.
