Shift: Days

Position Summary:
Coordinate Contract Labor activities relating to requisitions, postings, orientation, time card maintenance, and invoicing. Ensure adherence to Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures. No patient care assignment.

Detailed Responsibilities:

  • ORIENTATION - Assist in orienting new employees as required
  • RECORDS - Incorporate workload records in the required reporting system
  • TRAINING - May train and guide other staff engaged in the same work on other shifts
  • BACKGROUND CHECKS - Ensure all appropriate reference and background checks are completed for new hires
  • PROBLEMS - Report contract labor or staffing problems of the Director or designee
  • ORIENTATION - Communicate the policies of the Hospitals, participate in orientation and initiate payroll records for new contract labor
  • SCREENING - Assist in screening qualified contract labor and route to appropriate unit/department representatives
  • ASSIGNMENT - Serve as back up in performing Coord Staffing I and Coord bed Control functions as required
  • DEVELOPMENT - Attend and participate in professional meetings and committees; stay abreast of new trends and innovations
  • DEVELOPMENT - Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, reading current literature, attending in-services, meetings and workshops
  • ADMINISTRATION - Perform various administrative functions such as monitoring expenditures and preparing reports and correspondence; may participate in a variety of research projects to develop service plans; may propose changes to program policies and procedures

Physical Conditions:
