We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Project Manager who will serve as the primary customer liaison while overseeing inventory processes that support production efficiency and on-time delivery.

Position Overview

The Project Manager – Customer Liaison & Inventory Specialist is responsible for managing customer orders from initiation to completion, coordinating with internal departments, and ensuring that inventory levels support production timelines. This role requires a strong communicator with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, as well as experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or inventory management, preferably within the marine or similar industrial sector.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Liaison:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned customers throughout the project lifecycle
  • Communicate project updates, timelines, and changes clearly and professionally
  • Coordinate customer specifications, design changes, and approval processes
  • Ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded

Project Management:

  • Develop and maintain project schedules in alignment with production goals
  • Facilitate cross-functional communication with engineering, production, purchasing, and quality teams
  • Identify risks or delays and implement corrective actions
  • Track project milestones and maintain accurate documentation

Inventory Management:

  • Oversee inventory levels related to assigned projects to prevent production delays
  • Coordinate with purchasing and warehouse teams to ensure materials availability
  • Assist in forecasting needs and optimizing inventory usage
  • Maintain accurate records of parts, materials, and order status

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Project Management, or related field (or equivalent experience) is preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in project management, inventory control, or manufacturing operations
  • Experience in boat manufacturing or similar industry preferred
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
