Line Cook

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience in fine dining, catering, or restaurant environments. This role involves preparing high-quality dishes according to menu specifications, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our guests. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, efficient, and capable of working in a fast-paced kitchen setting.

Duties

• Prepare and cook menu items following established recipes and presentation standards
• Assist with menu planning and ingredient preparation to ensure timely service
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety protocols
• Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, handling, and sanitation practices
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other culinary tools
• Support the team during meal service, catering events, and special functions
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management
• Ensure all dishes meet quality standards before serving to customers

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food industry roles such as dietary aide, dietary department, or restaurant positions preferred
• Strong culinary skills including knife skills, food preparation, and meal assembly
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
• Experience with menu planning, food presentation, and fine dining service is a plus
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Prior experience in catering or serving is advantageous but not required
• Culinary or kitchen experience demonstrating proficiency in cooking techniques is essential

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 35 per week
