As a Manager of Events & Community Programming on the Lifestyle Services team, you'll plan and execute events, partner with and manage vendors and be responsible for resident engagement and community insight, event staffing, budget oversight and revenue generation.
What you will do: The Events & Programming Manager plays a pivotal role in curating and executing
dynamic lifestyle experiences across our NYC property portfolio. This role is responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering high-quality events and programming that enhance resident engagement and satisfaction. The ideal candidate is a creative, organized, and strategic thinker with a passion for community-building and hospitality.
- Design and implement a diverse calendar of events tailored to the unique needs of each residential community.
- Coordinate logistics, staffing, and vendor management for all events, ensure all events are executed smoothly, professionally, and within budget.
- Source, negotiate, and manage relationships with external vendors, contractors, and programming partners.
- Ability to work closely with the marketing team to promote events and drive resident engagement.
- Develop strategic partnerships to enhance programming offerings and generate revenue.
- Manage the events budget, ensuring cost-effective planning and execution.
- Provide leadership and oversight to the Recreation & Events team, including event staffing and scheduling.
- Collaborate with on-site property teams to support event execution and resident engagement.
- Develop a framework to incorporate demographics, resident preferences and feedback in order to continuously improve event programming and increase
- Work closely with the Director of Lifestyle Services to develop and implement new processes and procedures that contribute to the strategic growth and operational efficiency of the Lifestyle Services department.
What you should have: The ideal candidate for the Events & Programming Manager role should possess the following: strong event planning and organizational skills, budget management expertise, and the ability to build and maintain vendor partnerships. They should be creative and resourceful, with a deep understanding of community engagement and lifestyle programming. Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills are essential, along with adaptability, empathy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Familiarity with NYC's vendor landscape and flexibility to work evenings and weekends are also key.
- 3-5 years of experienc e in event management, hospitality or lifestyle programming
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities and deliver engaging events tailored to diverse residential communities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in overseeing budgets, controlling costs, and identifying revenue opportunities .
- Experience in supervising event staff and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Understanding of community dynamics and resident preferences to curate relevant programming.
- Resourceful and solution-oriented when facing logistical or operational challenges.
- Doing any, or all of that, in a multi-family environment would be good too.
What we offer:

Base Salary: $85,000 - $90,000
Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience & location.
