The Role:
We're looking for a dependable, highly skilled Service Technician who thrives on solving complex problems and keeping sophisticated systems running at peak performance. As a Splash Service Technician, you'll be the go-to expert for maintaining and repairing our state-of-the-art car wash facilities—everything from water reclamation and chemical delivery systems to motor control centers, high-pressure plumbing, and tunnel equipment.
What You'll Do:
- Rapidly troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and control system issues
- Perform repairs and preventive maintenance with ownership and urgency
- Collaborate daily with Installation Teams, store-level Operations, vendors, and leadership
- Proactively plan work to minimize downtime and repeat failures
- Document work, parts used, root cause, and resolution in our service platform
- Stay calm and decisive in high-pressure situations (busy Saturdays, weather events, etc.)
- Occasionally respond to after-hours emergencies and work flexible schedules (nights/weekends as needed)
What You Bring:
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on commercial or industrial trade experience such as electrical, mechanical, plumbing, controls, etc.
- Strong preference for 4+ years of commercial/industrial electrical experience (480V 3-phase, motor controls, VFDs, PLC troubleshooting, etc.)
- Proven ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a "fix it right the first time" mindset
- Solid communication skills—able to explain technical issues to non-technical team members
- Comfort working on ladders, in pits, and in wet environments
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to travel regionally ~10% and flexibility for occasional overnight stays
- Ability to be on-call and work nights/weekends when required
Bonus Points If You Have
- Experience with car wash equipment, water reclamation, or high-pressure pumping systems
- Formal electrical or mechanical certification/training
- Familiarity with Allen-Bradley or similar PLC platforms
- Welding/fabrication skills
