SUMMARY
The System Design Engineer will be responsible for leadership of engineering design projects in support of the Clean Factory Automation Division. This position will work closely with customers, suppliers, project managers and other stakeholders in developing solutions, designing products, and implementing solutions. The role requires technical expertise in the development and design phase, leadership expertise in managing the project budget and timeline as well as suppliers as well as the ability to work with the engineering team in Japan and the US to align with internal design rules as well as external design requirements as required by the customers such as UL and Semi standards. Assists with development of installation and operating procedures for developed products

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in mechanical and/or electrical engineering or related field; minimum three (3) years' experience as a Mechanical Engineer in an industrial/engineering/automation environment or equivalent combination of education and experience. Design Experience utilizing Fusion360 or AutoCad required, SolidWorks experience preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to convert and perform engineering calculations in all units of measure, using appropriate levels of accuracy and units of precision. Ability to compute and conduct equipment process related rate analyses, determine critical ratios, and percent values of interdependent relationships and to convey complex findings in simple to interpret graphs and/or other types of visualizations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
TRAVEL
This position is up to 25% travel. A valid driver's license and good driving record are required. Must have or be eligible to obtain a passport for international travel.
