Delivery Driver Helper

Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver Helper to assist with daily delivery operations. This role involves supporting the delivery process by loading, unloading, and assisting with route driving to ensure timely and efficient deliveries. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on customer service, physical stamina for heavy lifting, and familiarity with warehouse and driving operations. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in commercial driving and logistics within a dynamic team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the delivery driver in loading and unloading goods using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling methods
• Help with the safe handling and movement of packages, including heavy lifting and moving items within warehouses or delivery locations
• Support route driving by helping to load items onto the box truck and ensuring proper placement for delivery
• Aid in verifying delivery orders and ensuring accuracy during load & unload processes
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, including courteous interaction with clients
• Assist with route driving as needed, supporting the driver in navigating delivery routes efficiently
• Maintain safety standards by adhering to proper lifting techniques and safety protocols during all tasks

Qualifications

• Previous experience in warehouse operations, delivery driving, or courier services is preferred
• Familiarity with commercial driving, especially operating box trucks or similar vehicles with manual transmission
• Experience with heavy lifting, moving items, forklift operation, or pallet jacks is a plus
• Strong customer service skills to ensure positive interactions during deliveries
• Valid driver's license or equivalent required
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy packages and moving items repeatedly throughout the day
• Good driving skills with prior delivery driver experience preferred
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable transportation to support route driving and deliveries

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $26.61 per hour
