Experienced Concrete Finisher

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Concrete Finisher to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in concrete finishing and related construction skills, with the ability to work efficiently on commercial and residential projects. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to high-quality building projects, utilizing a wide range of skills including concrete forming, rebar installation, and heavy equipment operation. Candidates should possess solid knowledge of construction processes, safety standards, and blueprint reading to ensure precise and durable results on every project.

Duties

• Finish concrete surfaces using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to achieve smooth, level finishes.
• Install rebar and metal supports according to schematics and blueprints for structural integrity.
• Set up forms and molds for concrete pouring, ensuring proper alignment and stability.
• Operate concrete mixers, pumps, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
• Apply finishing techniques such as troweling, caulking, plastering, and stucco application to meet project specifications.
• Assist with concrete pouring, pumping, and placement on various construction sites.
• Read blueprints and schematics to interpret project requirements accurately.
• Perform demolition or renovation tasks related to concrete structures when necessary.
• Maintain a clean work environment by properly storing tools and disposing of debris following safety protocols.
• Collaborate with carpenters, masons, welders, and other trades to ensure seamless project execution.

Skills

• Proven experience in concrete finishing with a strong understanding of hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation.
• Mechanical knowledge related to construction machinery and tools used in concrete work.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
• Skilled in rebar installation, form setting, tile laying, flooring installation, and masonry work.
• Knowledge of construction estimating and renovation techniques is a plus.
• Familiarity with metal stud framing, framing carpentry, roofing, plastering, caulking, stucco application, restoration work, and welding enhances versatility.
• Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and working at heights or on scaffolding as needed.
• Construction site experience with a focus on safety standards and efficient workflow management.
