Barber Instructor

Job Overview
We are in search of a skilled, licensed barber who enjoys teaching and giving back to the craft. This role is all about working hands-on with students, sharing real world barbering expirence and helping them build confidence behind the chair. You'll guide students thorugh cuts, shaves, sanitation, and state requirments while preparing them for the Massachusetts licensing exam. Duties

• Execute lesson plans that cover fundamental and advanced barbering techniques, including haircutting, styling, grooming, and sanitation practices
• Deliver engaging classroom instruction on barbering skills, safety protocols, and industry standards to diverse adult learners
• Demonstrate proper use of barber tools and equipment, ensuring students understand best practices for precision and safety
• Incorporate specialized topics into curriculum as applicable
• Provide constructive feedback to students on their practical skills and theoretical understanding to foster continuous improvement
• Prepare students for licensing exams by guiding them through practical assessments and theoretical evaluations
• Maintain a positive classroom environment that encourages active participation and confidence-building among adult learners

Requirements

• Licensure in the state of Massachusetts.
• Experience in the barbering industry
• Strong knowledge of anatomy relevant to cosmetology and barbering practices
• The capacity to adapt content for diverse learning styles
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage students effectively
• Passion for teaching and mentoring aspiring professionals within the barbering industry

Pay: $1.00 - $50.00 per hour
