Custodian/Maintenance Worker

Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian/Maintenance Worker to join our facilities team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and well-functioning environment across our premises. The ideal candidate will have experience in cleaning, janitorial services, and basic maintenance tasks, ensuring that all areas meet high standards of cleanliness and safety. Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal across all facility areas
• Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, polishing, and carpet cleaning to maintain appearance and safety standards
• Handle custodial tasks in both commercial and residential settings, ensuring spaces are hygienic and presentable
• Assist with minor repairs and maintenance tasks such as painting, light plumbing, or electrical work as needed
• Operate cleaning equipment and tools safely and efficiently
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, notifying management when supplies need replenishing
• Follow safety protocols for industrial cleaning and facilities maintenance to prevent accidents or hazards
• Support overall facility upkeep including restroom sanitation, window cleaning, and surface disinfecting

Requirements

• Proven experience in custodial services, janitorial work, or facilities maintenance is preferred
• Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, sealing, and carpet extraction
• Experience with commercial cleaning, industrial cleaning, or residential painting is a plus
• Ability to operate cleaning machinery and tools safely and effectively
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and safety standards
• Physical ability to perform manual tasks such as lifting heavy objects, standing for extended periods, and climbing ladders if necessary
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
• Reliable transportation or access to reliable transportation for job site mobility

Pay: From $13.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
