Central Valley Skin Specialists is Modesto's premier dermatology practice. We are locally owned and operated and were voted "Modesto's Best" Dermatology practice in 2025 "Best of Modesto" competition. We are seeking a reliable, compassionate, and organized Medical Assistant to join our growing dermatology family. Our dedicated and growing team is seeking a hardworking individual to help us continue delivering world-class dermatology care to the Central Valley community.

Key Responsibilities:

Medical Assistant Duties:

• Prepare exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist physician with procedures
• Take medical history and scribe
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in EMR system
• Ensure inventory of medical supplies and restock as needed
• Support patient education on treatment plans and medications

Front Desk Reception Duties:

• Greet patients in a friendly and professional manner
• Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and schedule appointments
• Verify insurance information and collect co-pays or other payments
• Manage patient check-in and check-out process efficiently
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality
• Coordinate referrals and handle prior authorizations if needed
• Provide general administrative support to the clinic as needed

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred
• 1+ year of experience in a medical office setting preferably dermatology (clinical and/or front desk) is preferred
• Familiarity with EMR systems (e.g., EMA, Epic, eClinicalWorks, etc.)
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
• Bilingual a plus (but not required)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
