Private Home Housekeeper – Disabled Client Support (Large Family Home)

Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable, professional, and detail-oriented Housekeeper to support a disabled client and her family in their private residence. This position requires someone who is proactive, organized, and comfortable managing all aspects of home care, including maintaining cleanliness, organizing spaces, assisting with light cooking, and supporting the family's daily needs.

The home is large and includes small dogs (Yorkies), so applicants must be comfortable with pets and light pet-related tasks. From time to time, you may also assist the client's CNA with simple non-clinical tasks as needed.

This is a vital role that ensures the home remains clean, safe, comfortable, and well-organized for the family.

Duties & ResponsibilitiesWhole-Home Cleaning & Maintenance

• Perform full cleaning of all areas of the home, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, living areas, and high-traffic spaces.
• Duties include: dusting, mopping, vacuuming, sanitizing surfaces, wiping appliances, cleaning sinks/showers/toilets, and maintaining overall cleanliness.
• Conduct medium to heavy housekeeping tasks as needed.
• Keep high-touch areas disinfected to promote safety within the home.
• Organize and tidy rooms, closets, and storage spaces; assist with basic home décor or seasonal decorating.

Family Support

• Pick up after family members and help maintain a clean, organized household environment.
• Assist with minimal/light cooking (warming meals, simple meal prep, or family assistance as directed).
• Help keep the home running smoothly by staying proactive and attentive to household needs.

Laundry & Household Duties

• Wash, dry, fold, and organize laundry and linens.
• Keep dishes cleaned, dried, and put away; maintain kitchen cleanliness.

Supply Stocking & Inventory

• Monitor and restock household supplies, including toiletries, cleaning products, hygiene items, and miscellaneous household goods.
• Communicate when items need to be reordered or replenished.

Pet-Related Care

• Light care for small Yorkie dogs, such as refreshing water, picking up pet items, small clean-ups, or assisting with dog areas when needed.

CNA Support (Non-Clinical)

• Occasionally assist the client's CNA with simple, non-medical household tasks (never clinical care).
• Help ensure the home is safe and prepared for the client's daily care routine.

Safety & Professionalism

• Follow proper safety procedures when using cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues promptly.
• Maintain a respectful, compassionate, and professional demeanor at all times.
• Protect the privacy and dignity of the client and their family.

Experience & Qualifications

• Previous experience in residential or private housekeeping preferred.
• Ability to handle medium to heavy cleaning tasks.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Comfortable with pets (small dogs) and family environments.
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance required.
• Experience supporting disabled individuals or households with caregivers is a plus but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $16.00 per hour
