Delta Community Supports, Inc. is seeking DSPs accredited by the National Alliance for Direct Support Professionals (NADSP) to provide direct care for older adults in a day program setting. This role supports the interests, needs, and daily engagement of individuals, including those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support individuals in daily living activities, community engagement, and achieving ISP outcomes.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy home environment.
  • Prepare meals, assist with hygiene, and complete household tasks.
  • Accurately complete documentation, logs, and required reports.
  • Administer medications per procedure and follow all safety and licensing standards
  • Communicate regularly with supervisors and participate in required trainings and meetings.
  • Ensure proper staffing ratios, secure the home, and follow all Delta policies.
  • For overnight shifts: complete half-hour checks, hourly Vista transfers, follow duty lists, and assist individuals in the morning routine.
Qualifications
  • NADSP Certification (DSP-I, II, III).
  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on a given assignment.
  • Ability to resolve non-routine situations properly.
  • Ability to manage multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities.
  • Ability to travel locally within surrounding county areas to provide direct support.
