A nationally respected engineering and consulting firm is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead and oversee low voltage system design projects within the aviation sector. This role will manage large-scale terminal builds, renovations, and standalone system upgrades at major U.S. airports. The scope covers IT, communications, security, audio-visual, and other airport-specific technology systems.
This is a hands-on leadership position, responsible for guiding multidisciplinary teams, managing client relationships, overseeing design deliverables, and coordinating with construction stakeholders through all phases of a project—from concept through closeout.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead low voltage system design efforts from concept through construction closeout
Manage internal design teams including engineers, designers, subject matter experts, and external subconsultants
Serve as the main point of contact for clients, architects, contractors, and consultants
Coordinate with owners and project stakeholders to ensure deliverables meet scope, schedule, and budget
Oversee development of technical drawings, specifications, QA/QC processes, and system documentation
Support construction administration activities: contractor coordination, testing, commissioning, and training
Facilitate clear and concise communication through meetings and progress reports
Ensure alignment with airport regulations and project-specific standards
10+ years of experience in low voltage or electrical systems design and consulting
Prior experience managing airport design and construction projects is required
Strong understanding of FAA, CBP, and other aviation-related regulatory standards
Proficient in project management tools and software, including BIM, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite
Skilled in managing multidisciplinary teams and coordinating across stakeholders
Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills
Associate's degree in Applied Science or related field required; Bachelor's preferred
Industry certifications such as RCDD, PSP, CTS-D are preferred; PE license is a plus
Active participation in professional industry organizations is valued
