This role is fractional/part-time for Ravix Group, a trusted provider of outsourced accounting, finance, HR, and technical accounting services with over 20 years of experience. We specialize in supporting growth-stage businesses, including venture-backed startups, by enabling founders and executives to focus on strategic goals while we manage their day-to-day operations.
Ravix is experiencing rapid growth and looking to add additional fractional/part-time consultative Controller-level resources to our ranks to help meet the evolving needs of our current and future expanding clientele You must be located in the United States.
IDEAL CANDIDATE SUMMARY
The Ideal fit for this partnership will be a professional consultant that has a currently active history of direct client work, with experience in serving multiple clients simultaneously in Controller and/or high-level finance capacities, working within private equity spaces, privately held and/or publicly traded companies
STANDARD ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Advise and provide service to clients in a Controller capacity using independent discretion and judgment, including vendor recommendations as needed, or as directed by Company management.
- Evaluate client needs on an ongoing basis through discussions with client management and keep other Company team members informed of all client requests and updates.
- Supervise the efficient provision of client and technical service to meet client requirements for GAAP-based financials, technical services, etc.
- Prepare, examine, or analyze client accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
- Report to client management regarding the finances and cash flow of establishment.
- Develop, implement, modify, and document client recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology.
- Advise client in areas such as the design of accounting or data processing systems.
- Develop, maintain, and analyze client budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
- Manage and/or assist with client's tax & audit preparation.
- Analyze client's business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice.
- Formulate and implement policies and procedures for clients.
- Appraise, evaluate, and inventory client's real property and equipment, recording information such as the description, value and location of property.
- Oversee both Company and client staff, if present, on client assignments
- Provide mentoring and training to Company team members on your clients.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration is preferred
Experience: Minimum of 6 to 10 years of similar level accounting experience.
Computer Skills: Proficient in QuickBooks, Excel, ADP and/or other payroll & accounting systems. PowerPoint is a plus.
Organizational skills - Ability to manage multiple clients and work with, or for, multiple team members, and respond to requests in a timely manner.
