What You Will Do:
Customer Engagement & Sales
- Deliver an outstanding in-store experience through expert product knowledge, personal engagement, and honest recommendations.
- Assist customers in buying, selling, and trading photographic equipment.
- Learn and explain KEH's unique value proposition: our grading system, inspection process, warranties, and sustainability mission.
- Meet or exceed individual and store sales goals through strong customer interactions and product knowledge.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor in line with KEH brand standards.
- Restock shelves, rotate merchandise, and ensure proper product signage and labeling.
- Participate in gear testing, pricing, and product intake processes.
- Support store opening and closing procedures, including register operations and basic cash handling.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and a supportive team environment.
- Stay informed about new gear arrivals, promotions, and company initiatives.
Skills and Experience Needed to be Successful:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 2–3 years of retail or customer-facing experience, ideally in specialty or high-value goods.
- Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service with professionalism and enthusiasm.
- Strong critical thinking and solution-oriented mindset to resolve customer issues in real time.
- Highly detail-oriented, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and build rapport with diverse customers.
- Effective organizational and time-management skills to meet daily operational goals.
- Comfortable with POS systems, inventory tools, and basic office applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Flexible and dependable, with the ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
- Passion for photography or familiarity with camera equipment is a strong plus.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills:
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Accurately count and reconcile item quantities against shipment documentation
- Identify and resolve numerical discrepancies in inventory records
- Comfortable using basic math functions in spreadsheets (e.g., totals, comparisons)
- Ability to apply simple logic to verify unit counts, order accuracy, and fulfillment rates
