Electromechanical Assembly Technician (Collaborative Robots)Job DescriptionBrooks has expanded its capabilities to include Collaborative Robots. Brooks PreciseFlex Robots is based out of Livermore, California, and has developed a line of "Collaborative" Robots that possess the unique ability to work alongside humans without causing harm in the event of a collision. This technology places Collaborative Robotics at the forefront of the rapidly growing robot market.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
•Perform manufacturing operations related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies, and final system assemblies.
•Work with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks as well as conducting experiments.
•Determine or assist in developing methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings, and/or diagrams to control or modify the manufacturing process.
•Prepare technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems.
•Provide guidance to other non-exempt personnel and may lead or supervise activities within a team lead function.
•Follow established procedures, processes, or policies.
•Resolve problems with assistance from peers or supervisor depending on the level and complexity.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
•Minimum of 5 years of electromechanical assembly experience required in manufacturing operations, preferably in a high-tech industry.
•Excellent understanding of manufacturing processes and principles.
•Experience in conducting experiments, troubleshooting, and problem-solving.
•Proficient in using sophisticated programs and tools to collect and evaluate operating data.
•Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
