Janitor/Cleaner

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor/Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across various facilities. This role involves performing a variety of cleaning and custodial tasks to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial or residential cleaning, with a strong focus on quality and efficiency. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the upkeep of our facilities while developing skills in maintenance and floor care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, polishing, and carpet cleaning to ensure surfaces are well-maintained
• Handle custodial tasks including window washing, light maintenance, and minor repairs as needed
• Operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively, adhering to all safety protocols
• Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and toilet paper to ensure availability at all times
• Follow established cleaning schedules and procedures to meet facility standards
• Assist with special cleaning projects or deep-cleaning tasks when required
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations

Requirements

• Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles preferred; experience with commercial or industrial cleaning is a plus
• Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and polishing
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness
• Physical ability to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, reaching, and standing for extended periods
• Excellent time management skills to complete tasks within scheduled timeframes
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while following instructions precisely
• Prior experience with residential painting or facilities maintenance is advantageous but not required
• A positive attitude and reliability are essential for success in this role

Pay: $ $27.73 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 per week
