Personal Care Assistant

Job Description

We are hiring compassionate and dependable Personal Care Attendants (PCAs) to support individuals with daily living needs in their homes. This is a non-medical role focused on promoting independence, dignity, and safety.

No PCA certification yet? We can help. We offer State-approved PCA training at a lower cost than the average training program, making it easier and more affordable to start your career in home care.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
• Support Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs) based on the client's Plan of Service
• Assist with self-administered medications as permitted under Virginia law
• Take and document vital signs when authorized
• Observe, document, and report any changes in client condition or behavior
• Complete accurate service documentation
• Provide companionship and support daily routines

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• PCA certification (or willingness to complete our low-cost training program)
• Valid Driver's License or State-issued ID
• Ability to pass required background and registry checks
• TB screening (if required)
• Willingness to complete 12 hours of annual in-service training
• Reliable, caring, and professional
