Join our team as a Warehouse Technician in Charlotte, North Carolina. This role requires a blend of technical skills and warehouse operations knowledge to maintain the efficiency and functionality of our warehouse equipment and systems. You will play a key role in ensuring that our logistics operations run smoothly and safely by performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and supporting various warehouse activities.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment, including forklifts, conveyors, and automated systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to minimize downtime.
- Ensure all warehouse machinery operates efficiently and safely.
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Assist with the installation and setup of new equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment status.
- Operate material handling equipment when necessary, adhering to all Safety guidelines.
- Ensure appropriate PPE is used during all maintenance and operational tasks.
- Support the logistics team with various operational needs, including inventory management and order fulfillment.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience in a warehouse environment with a focus on equipment maintenance and repair.
- Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and implement effective solutions.
- Knowledge of Safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse setting.
- Experience with various types of material handling equipment.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting and work in physically demanding conditions.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and hand tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to maintaining a high level of Safety and operational efficiency in logistics.
