Join our growing logistics hub in Kansas City, Missouri, as an Order Picker! We are looking for energetic individuals to contribute to the smooth operation of our distribution center. In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting and preparing items for shipment, ensuring customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a dynamic warehouse environment, paying close attention to detail and adhering to all safety guidelines. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from designated warehouse locations according to order specifications.
- Inspect picked items for any damages or discrepancies before preparation for shipment.
- Operate warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks, with proper training and adherence to safety protocols.
- Pack and stage items for shipping, ensuring correct labeling and packaging materials.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and assist in maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Follow all company procedures, including those related to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve and exceed daily picking targets.
- Use RF scanners or other technology to track inventory movements and order statuses.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Prior warehouse or picking experience preferred, but not essential for motivated candidates.
- Must be able to handle physical demands, including lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail are paramount.
- Basic knowledge of warehouse logistics and inventory management systems is beneficial.
- Commitment to workplace safety and understanding of its importance.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as a team player.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Punctuality and a strong work ethic are essential.
