Join our team as an Order Picker in Kansas City, Missouri! We need organized and efficient individuals to accurately pick products for customer orders in our busy warehouse. This role is a cornerstone of our logistics operations, ensuring that orders are fulfilled precisely and dispatched on time. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, utilizing technology to manage inventory and select items. Success in this position requires physical endurance, a dedication to accuracy, and a strong emphasis on safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse locations based on order requirements.
- Use RF scanners and other equipment to identify and track inventory.
- Verify product details and quantities before confirming picks.
- Pack items securely to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the work area and warehouse.
- Strictly follow all safety procedures, including correct lifting methods.
- Properly use and maintain all required PPE.
- Communicate any stock issues, discrepancies, or damages to supervisors promptly.
- Meet daily picking performance quotas.
- Contribute to the efficient functioning of our logistics department.
Qualifications:
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and reach continuously throughout the shift. Requires the ability to perform consistent lifting of up to 50 pounds. Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is preferred but not mandatory. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy are vital. Candidates must be reliable, punctual, and capable of working collaboratively within a team. A thorough understanding and application of safety practices are essential. This role offers a great entry into the logistics field.
