About the Role

Are you someone who loves being active and working outdoors? We are looking for hardworking, reliable Snow Shovelers to join our sidewalk crew this winter. You will be the front line in ensuring that walkways, entryways, and stairs are safe and clear for the public. This is a critical role that requires a high level of physical fitness and the ability to work in cold, challenging conditions whenever the snow falls.

Key Responsibilities

• Manual Snow Removal: Clear snow from sidewalks, stairs, and narrow passages using shovels, pushers, and snow blowers.
• De-Icing: Apply salt or ice melt to walking surfaces to prevent ice buildup.
• Precision Work: Ensure all entryways are cleared "down to the pavement" to meet high safety and liability standards.
• Teamwork: Work closely with plow operators and other crew members to clear commercial and residential sites efficiently.
• Safety: Wear appropriate high-visibility gear and operate small machinery (snow blowers) safely around the public.

Requirements

• Physical Fitness: Ability to perform strenuous manual labor for extended periods in freezing temperatures. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Reliability: You must be reachable and ready to work at any hour—snow doesn't follow a 9-to-5 schedule.
• Gear: Must have your own insulated, waterproof winter boots and high-quality cold-weather clothing. (We provide safety vests and gloves).
• Transportation: Must have a reliable way to get to our shop or designated meeting point during a snowstorm.
• Attitude: A positive, "can-do" mindset even when the weather is at its worst.

Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal

Pay: $18.99-$27.93 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
