Role Summary
The Night Auditor is responsible for completing end‑of‑day procedures, ensuring accurate financial reconciliation, and delivering exceptional overnight guest service. This role processes all payment types, balances daily transactions, prepares required reports, and supports the Front Office with late check‑ins and guest inquiries. The Night Auditor also ensures the safety, security, and comfort of all guests during overnight hours.
Accountabilities
- Complete end-of-day activities including posting charges to accounts, running night audit backup, and roll the date
- Process all payment types such as room charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit.
- Process adjustment vouchers, paid-outs, correction vouchers, and miscellaneous charges.
- Control and secure cash and cash equivalents for property according to cash handling policy and procedures
- Organize, secure, and maintain all files and records in accordance with document retention and confidentiality policies and procedures
- Print contingency lists to have a record of all guests in case of emergency
- Audit statistical, financial, accounting, auditing, or payroll reports and tables
- Audit and reconcile all revenue postings
- Welcome and acknowledge all guests, anticipate and address guests' service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation
- Speak with others using clear and professional language, and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette
- Compliance with all safety regulations of assigned tasks, and ensure a clean and safe working environment with active participation in the health and safety program
- Adhere to all environmental policies and programs as required
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Resort experience preferred
- Superior attention to detail
- Strong mathematical acumen
- Proficiency in computer keyboarding skills required
- Ability to multi-task and organize time effectively and efficiently
- Able to read and write English

Working Conditions
- Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Stand, sit or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire shift
