Junior Fullstack Engineer (m/w/d)

We're a fast-growing startup building at the intersection of finance, data, and AI—and we're looking for a Junior Fullstack Engineer who's excited to learn, grow, and help shape our product from the ground up.

As a Junior Fullstack Engineer, you'll work closely with experienced backend, data, and AI engineers to build and improve features across our platform. You will:

• Build Fullstack Features: Implement user-facing features using modern frameworks and connect them to backend APIs.
• Backend Development: Contribute to Python-based backend services (Django REST or FastAPI), including API endpoints and business logic.
• Frontend Development: Work on responsive, clean UI components and dashboards that surface complex financial data in an intuitive way.
• Data & API Integration: Help integrate third-party systems (ERPs, CRMs) and internal data pipelines into our application.
• Testing & Code Quality: Write unit and integration tests, fix bugs, and participate in code reviews to maintain high-quality standards.
• Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with product managers, designers, and senior engineers to translate requirements into working software.
• Learn by Doing: Gain hands-on exposure to AI-powered features, LLM-enabled workflows, and production SaaS systems.

This role is ideal for recent graduates or engineers with up to 2 years of experience.

Technical Foundations

• Advanced capabilitie with Python (backend) and experience with Next.js / React (frontend).
• Understanding of REST APIs and how frontend and backend systems communicate.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases.

Engineering Practices

• Experience using Git and collaborating via pull requests.
• Interest in writing clean, readable, and maintainable code.
• Experience with testing, CI/CD, and cloud-native development.

Mindset & Soft Skills

• Curious, motivated, and eager to learn in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Comfortable asking questions and receiving feedback.
• Strong communication skills in English (German is a plus).

Nice to Have

• Internship or project experience building ai applications.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) or Docker.
• Interest in AI/ML-powered products or financial software.
• Familiarity with basic frontend design principles or UX thinking.
