Financial Controller

The Company:

Lynx Brand Fence Products is a leading construction and manufacturing company specializing in fencing solutions across Western Canada. With multiple operating branches and a strong leadership team in place, we are entering an exciting phase of growth, system modernization, and operational scale.

The Position:

The Financial Controller will be responsible for end-to-end accounting and financial management for all Lynx Brand Fence Products entities and branches. This is a senior, trusted role that will work directly with the CEO, President, and Vice Presidents on a daily basis and play a key role in financial strategy, reporting, and systems implementation.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment, takes initiative, and is comfortable owning the full finance function across multiple branches. Occasional travel will be required.

Responsibilities:

• Full responsibility for all accounting and finance functions across multiples branches
• Monthly, quarterly and annual financial statement preparation and analysis
• Budget preparation, forecasting and continuous performance monitoring
• Cash flow management and financial reporting to executive leadership
• Oversight of tax compliance, GST filings, and year-end coordination with external accountants
• Asset tracking and capitalization across all locations
• Lead and manage the implementation of a new ERP system
• Collaborate closely with operations, sales and leadership teams across the business

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, construction industry experience preferred
• Completion of an Accounting Business Degree or Diploma
• CPA Designation an asset
• Experience with Sage 300 Desktop and Acumatica an asset
• Strong computer literacy including effective working skills of Microsoft Office and accounting software
