Our Jacksonville, Florida facility is looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our energetic warehouse team. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a critical role in the efficient movement of materials throughout our distribution center. You will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts to load, unload, transport, and stack materials. Maintaining a safe working environment is paramount, and you will be expected to adhere strictly to all safety regulations and operating procedures. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced operators to contribute to a leading logistics company.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) safely and efficiently to move inventory.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Transport materials to and from various warehouse locations, including staging areas, production lines, and storage racks.
- Stack and organize inventory in designated areas, ensuring stability and safety.
- Perform pre-operation inspections on forklifts and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts and put-away.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Follow all Safety guidelines and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and meet production goals.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to warehouse operations and logistics.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator, with valid certification preferred.
- Ability to operate multiple types of forklifts safely.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Physical ability to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and regular Lifting (up to 60 lbs).
- Strong understanding of forklift Safety regulations and best practices.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
