You will be responsible for receiving, stocking, picking, and packing orders with accuracy and efficiency. The Material Handler plays a key part in ensuring that our customers receive their orders correctly and on time. This position involves using various warehouse equipment and adhering to strict safety regulations. Your daily tasks will include unpacking incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, stocking shelves, fulfilling customer orders by picking items, and preparing them for shipment. A strong work ethic and a commitment to safety are crucial. This role demands physical stamina, as it involves significant lifting and movement throughout the warehouse. We are committed to providing a safe working environment, and all employees are expected to wear the necessary PPE at all times. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unpack, and inspect incoming materials.
- Stock inventory in appropriate locations within the warehouse.
- Pick and pack orders accurately according to customer specifications.
- Operate manual and powered equipment, such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and wear required PPE.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counts.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics process.
- Must be capable of heavy lifting, up to 60 lbs.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Physical ability to perform tasks involving frequent lifting and standing.
- Good organizational skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE.
- Understanding of basic logistics principles.
