Join our growing logistics operation in Portland, Oregon, as a Forklift Operator. We are looking for experienced and safety-conscious individuals to manage the movement of materials within our warehouse. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the efficient and safe operation of forklifts to transport, stack, and organize inventory. This role is vital to our daily operations, ensuring seamless material flow and supporting our overall logistics efficiency. We prioritize a Safe work environment, and all employees are required to follow Safety protocols and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position involves significant Forklift operation and requires the ability to handle materials that involve frequent Lifting.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve inventory.
- Load and unload goods from trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials between various points in the warehouse.
- Conduct routine inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance needs.
- Maintain organized and orderly storage areas.
- Follow all company Safety policies and procedures diligently.
- Properly use all mandated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics department.
- Assist with inventory management tasks as needed.
- Perform other warehouse duties that may involve Lifting and manual handling.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift certification and demonstrated experience.
- Proficiency in operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse Safety practices and regulations.
- Experience in a fast-paced logistics environment is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including significant Lifting.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Commitment to wearing required PPE.
- Dedication to maintaining a Safe work environment.
