We are seeking a reliable individual to manage our outgoing shipments and ensure operational efficiency. The Shipping Clerk will be responsible for processing shipments, verifying accuracy, and coordinating with carriers. This role is crucial to our logistics department, ensuring products reach customers correctly and on time. You will be working in a dynamic warehouse environment where Safety is paramount. Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory for all employees. This role involves frequent Lifting of packages and requires a strong commitment to maintaining organized shipping processes. Be a vital part of our logistics chain!
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and verify shipping documents, including bills of lading and manifests.
- Accurately label all outgoing packages for domestic and international shipments.
- Conduct quality checks on outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy and prevent damage.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers for pickup schedules and shipment tracking.
- Maintain organized shipping and receiving areas.
- Operate basic shipping equipment like pallet jacks and tape machines.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams regarding shipment status.
- Adhere to all Safety protocols and company guidelines.
- Ensure correct usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Perform regular Lifting of boxes and parcels.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a related warehouse role.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Familiarity with shipping software is a plus.
- Must be able to handle frequent Lifting.
- Commitment to maintaining a Safe work environment.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills.
- Willingness to wear required PPE.
