We are seeking an efficient and accurate Order Picker to join our fulfillment center in Detroit, Michigan. In this role, you will be responsible for locating and gathering items to fulfill customer orders accurately and in a timely manner. This position is crucial to our logistics operations, ensuring customer satisfaction through precise order fulfillment. You will work within a fast-paced warehouse environment, utilizing scanning equipment and hand trucks to navigate the facility. A strong commitment to Safety and attention to detail are paramount. The ideal candidate will be physically capable of performing extensive walking and occasional Lifting, possess excellent organizational skills, and be a reliable team player. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order lists or scanning devices.
- Pack picked items securely for shipment, ensuring product integrity.
- Stage completed orders for shipping and loading.
- Operate pallet jacks and other basic material handling equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Properly use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Conducting regular checks on inventory accuracy.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
- Perform tasks requiring moderate Lifting, up to 45 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a warehouse role is beneficial.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Proficiency with hand-held scanners and order picking technology.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting and manual tasks.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety best practices.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
