In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring that outgoing shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and safely. Your responsibilities will include preparing shipping documentation, coordinating with carriers, verifying shipment contents, and maintaining organized shipping areas. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic warehouse environment. This position is crucial to our supply chain operations, ensuring our customers receive their orders on time and in perfect condition. We value safety above all, so adherence to all safety guidelines and the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory. This role involves frequent lifting and the movement of packages, so physical stamina is important. A good understanding of logistics and shipping procedures will be a significant asset. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and accurately document all outgoing shipments.
- Verify shipment contents against orders and packing lists.
- Coordinate with transportation carriers for pickup schedules.
- Generate shipping labels and tracking information.
- Maintain organized shipping and receiving areas.
- Communicate with internal teams to ensure timely processing of orders.
- Inspect outgoing packages for damage or discrepancies.
- Assist with loading and unloading of trucks as needed.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
- Handle tasks that involve lifting and moving shipments, typically up to 40 lbs.
- Support the overall efficiency of our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or a similar logistics role is a plus.
- Familiarity with shipping software and carrier portals.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse setting.
- Commitment to safety and proper use of PPE.
- Physical capability to perform duties including lifting and standing for extended periods.
