We are seeking a certified and experienced Reach Truck Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Houston, Texas! In this crucial role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of reach trucks to move, stack, and retrieve palletized inventory within our expansive warehouse. Responsibilities:
- Operate reach trucks safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve merchandise.
- Load and unload trailers, ensuring proper weight distribution and security.
- Conduct pre-operational checks on reach trucks and report any maintenance issues.
- Accurately pick and stage orders according to dispatch schedules.
- Maintain inventory integrity through proper placement and rotation of stock.
- Adhere strictly to all warehouse safety regulations and company policies.
- Utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times when required.
- Assist with other warehouse duties, including cycle counting and general organization.
- Contribute to a productive and safety-conscious team environment.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating reach trucks in a high-volume warehouse environment.
- Valid certification for reach truck operation is mandatory.
- Demonstrated ability to handle heavy lifting (up to 60 lbs) and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Comprehensive knowledge of warehouse logistics and safety procedures.
- Exceptional hand-eye coordination and spatial judgment.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Commitment to safety and willingness to follow all guidelines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts and occasional overtime as needed.
- Must pass a background check, drug screening, and forklift operator assessment.
