Join our vibrant team as an Order Picker in Dallas, Texas! This role is fundamental to our distribution center's success, ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently fulfilled. As an Order Picker, you will navigate our warehouse to locate and retrieve specific items, preparing them for packing and shipment. Precision, speed, and a commitment to safety are key attributes we seek. The position involves considerable movement throughout the facility and requires the ability to perform tasks involving significant lifting . Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using a pick list or scanning device.
- Locate items within the warehouse according to specific location codes.
- Verify product information to ensure order accuracy.
- Transport picked items to the packing or staging area.
- Assist with replenishment of pick locations as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Properly use and maintain all required PPE .
- Report any discrepancies or issues with inventory or orders to a supervisor.
- Contribute to team goals by working efficiently and cooperatively.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Capacity to perform frequent lifting of items up to 40 pounds.
- Familiarity with warehouse scanning equipment is a plus.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Willingness to wear required PPE , including safety shoes and vests.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
