We are seeking experienced and safety-conscious Material Handlers to join our bustling warehouse in Los Angeles, California. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the efficient movement and organization of materials throughout our facility. This includes operating various types of forklifts, loading and unloading trucks, transporting goods, and assisting with inventory control. Your expertise in material handling is vital to maintaining smooth logistics operations and ensuring product integrity. We emphasize a strong commitment to safety and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other heavy machinery safely and proficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, containers, and other transport vehicles.
- Transport materials to and from storage areas, production lines, or shipping docks.
- Accurately manage inventory, including cycle counting and stock verification.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Perform regular inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Adhere to all company safety standards and protocols, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist with packing and staging of outgoing orders as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler with a valid forklift license/certification.
- Demonstrated proficiency in operating various types of forklifts and material handling equipment.
- Ability to perform heavy Lifting, up to 75 lbs, and other strenuous physical tasks.
- Thorough knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and regulations.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours and wear all required PPE.
