We are seeking an experienced, forward-thinking Production Manager – Electrical to lead and elevate our electrical production operations. This role is responsible for directing day-to-day manufacturing activities, ensuring high-quality output, optimizing operational performance, and driving continuous improvement across people, processes, and equipment.

The ideal candidate is a proven manufacturing leader who excels at developing teams, solving technical problems, and delivering results in a fast-paced environment. This position has a critical impact on production efficiency, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

This position works Off Shift: 3:00PM - 3:00AM (can fluctuate based on business needs).

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

  • Serve as the primary leader, mentor, and coach for supervisors, electrical leads, and production teams.
  • Conduct timely performance reviews in alignment with corporate expectations.
  • Build a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
  • Strengthen communication and collaboration across all levels of the production team.

Production Management & Execution

  • Oversee daily electrical production operations to ensure products are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Plan, organize, and control manufacturing workflows and labor allocation.
  • Monitor and maintain product quality, throughput, lead times, and inventory levels.
  • Track, analyze, and report production metrics, identifying root causes and corrective actions as needed.

Technical Expertise & Problem Resolution

  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Quality, and internal customers to resolve product issues using methodologies such as RCCA, 5-Why, and standard problem-solving tools.
  • Interpret and validate engineering drawings, build documents, and technical specifications.
  • Support electrical build processes, heavy assembly operations, and metal fabrication workstreams.

Process Improvement & Standardization

  • Develop and implement Lean-oriented process improvements to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Lead or support capital equipment planning and acquisition.
  • Standardize work operations and documentation to drive consistency and reduce variation.
  • Compile, store, and retrieve production data to support decision-making and reporting.

Safety, Compliance & Communication

  • Ensure compliance with all EHS standards and promote a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Prepare clear written reports, work instructions, and procedure documents.
  • Present updates and operational insights in group settings, production meetings, and leadership reviews.

Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience required.
  • Minimum 8 years of manufacturing experience, including 4 years in a supervisory or leadership role over a production line or functional team.
  • Strong background in metal fabrication, heavy assembly, and electrical production environments.
  • Experience in Power Distribution and/or Commercial HVAC Systems is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in communication, coaching, problem-solving, data analysis, and conflict resolution.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical instructions, and build data.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect data, define problems, and develop actionable solutions.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred, or demonstrated working knowledge of Lean tools and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in basic computer operations and familiarity with production planning systems.
  • High level of initiative, professionalism, and ownership.
