At Southwest Idaho Treatment Center (SWITC) in Nampa , our temporary Psychiatric Technician Trainee make a difference in their lives and share in their growth and development. Southwest Idaho Treatment Center (SWITC) is a 24-hour facility and our mission is to support individuals in crisis to become stable, develop skills, and to successfully transition to the community. You will work at one of Idaho's historic landmarks, the Idaho State Sanitarium Administration building, that was built in the early 1900's and is surrounded by acres of open space with beautiful gardens, wildlife, and walking paths for our employees to enjoy. Discover the Southwest Idaho Treatment Center: A Campus Overview This position is not eligible for telework. The Idaho Department of Health & Welfare is a drug-free workplace. Any applicant offered employment in this position, will be required to pass a pre-employment drug test. In addition, the applicant will be required to complete and pass a criminal history background investigation after a conditional offer of employment. Temporary positions are limited to working 1,385 hours in a 12-month period for any one state agency. Employees are eligible for benefits if they work twenty (20) hours or more per week and the term of employment is expected to exceed five (5) continuous months. This is an ongoing announcement which means at the time applicants apply, we may or may not have an opening. Those applicants that take and pass the exam to show they meet the minimum qualifications will be placed on the referral list. When a position becomes available, the hiring supervisor will then directly contact those applicants they wish to interview off the referral list.
