Certified Veterinary Technician

Waynesboro Veterinary Clinic is seeking an experienced, Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) to join our dedicated and compassionate team. This position is available as we support a long-term, valued technician who is relocating out of the area. Position Overview

As a CVT at Waynesboro Veterinary Clinic, you will play a key role in patient care, anesthesia and surgical support, diagnostics, and client education. We encourage our technicians to use their skills to the fullest and actively support continued professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Patient assessment, handling, and nursing care
• Venipuncture, catheter placement, and sample collection
• In-house laboratory testing and diagnostics
• Anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
• Surgical and dental assistance, including dental cleanings and radiographs
• Medication preparation and client education
• Accurate and thorough medical record keeping
• Maintaining clean, organized treatment and surgical areas
• Supporting and mentoring assistants and fellow team members

Qualifications

• Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT/LVT/RVT) – required
• 2+ years of clinical experience preferred
• Strong anesthesia monitoring and technical skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and compassionate

Schedule

• Full-time: 36 to 39 hours per week
• Four (4) nine-hour shifts with a one-hour lunch break
• Clinic hours end at 6:00 PM
• Every other Saturday from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
• Rotating weekend treatment once every 6th weekend, paid at overtime rates
• No after-hours emergency or on-call duty
• Occasional/Rare late coverage only if a doctor is finishing care on a patient
