Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Patient Coordinator and Receptionist to join our healthcare team. We are a private audiology practice with 5 offices in the Rochester area. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks that keep our clinic running smoothly. Your energetic approach will help create a welcoming environment, ensuring efficient patient flow, accurate documentation, and seamless communication between patients and medical staff. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to quality healthcare delivery while utilizing your strong organizational and technical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and register patients.
  • Answer phones.
  • Schedule appointments accurately as per treatment.
  • Confirm appointments and pull charts for the next day's appointments.
  • Assist and collect required forms and documentation including updating personal and insurance information.
  • Stay up to date on benefits information communicated by the billing department.
  • Maintain and manage patient electronic and chart records including making new charts and filing.
  • Accurately enter provider services into QuickBooks.
  • Manage recall list monthly.
  • Fax reports to patients' physicians or referring physicians.
  • Other administrative duties as needed.

Experience

  • Prior experience working in a medical office environment or healthcare setting is highly preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency with EMR systems such as HearForm
  • Familiarity with health insurance verification processes
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel,) along with experience managing electronic health records and health information management systems.
  • Exceptional customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette are crucial for success in this role.
  • Previous office management or administrative support experience within a healthcare setting will be advantageous. Pay: $ $20.00 per hour
