Building Maintenance Engineer

Commercial property owner seeks Maintenance Engineer in Houston, TX. The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for providing preventative maintenance and corrective repairs of facilities for a local portfolio of office buildings, shopping centers and industrial buildings.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Responsible for guidance and oversight of all building systems and repairs, such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, elevators, control systems, mechanical equipment, roofing, carpentry, painting and general maintenance. Complies with all applicable codes and regulations.

-This position requires someone organized with the ability to prioritize, multi-task and effectively communicate.

-Maintains contact with Property Managers and Porters, organizes and fully completes work orders and tenant requests to ensure the highest level of customer service.

-Responds quickly to emergency situations and property management calls.

-Maintains disaster preparedness by identifying potential problems, developing response plans and managing crises.

-Identifies and maintains department supply inventory including proper storage and knowledge of use.

-This individual will need to help maintain a safe and secure environment throughout the buildings and follow appropriate safety procedures when lifting lbs, climbing ladders, crawling in small spaces and working outside in inclement weather.

-This position requires skills to perform preventative maintenance and repair of buildings, vehicles, equipment, tools and grounds.

-We seek a self-motivated, detailed, team-oriented, dependable, responsible, flexible and professional Engineer.

Valid driver's license is required.
