Position Summary:

Identity Group is a fast-paced manufacturing environment delivering innovative signage and visual branding solutions to major hospitality, corporate, and retail clients nationwide. The Senior Maintenance Technician is responsible for the advanced maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all production and facility equipment.

This position requires advanced technical expertise in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, with proven skill in industrial automation, controls, and process reliability. The role supports preventive and predictive maintenance programs, leads root cause analysis for downtime reduction, and partners closely with Operations and Engineering to ensure continuous improvement across all key performance areas.

Essential Functions:

· Perform advanced troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on production and facility equipment, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

· Maintain, repair, and optimize automated machinery and control systems including PLCs, VFDs, sensors, and instrumentation.

· Execute and enhance preventive and predictive maintenance schedules to improve equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.

· Lead and participate in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation to drive improved OEE and asset performance.

· Collaborate with Engineering and Production to design and implement process and equipment upgrades for safety, quality, and efficiency.

· Support and train operators and junior technicians to build technical capabilities and promote equipment ownership.

· Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records through CMMS and ensure compliance with all safety and environmental requirements.

· Document lessons learned and best practices within CMMS.

· Actively contribute to Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives, including 5S, Kaizen, and maintenance optimization projects.

· Represent Maintenance in cross-functional meetings and safety audits.

· Comply with all Identity Group policies and procedures and perform additional duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

Technical Skills & Competencies

· High level of mechanical aptitude and desire to work in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

· Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

· Proficiency in reading blueprints, electrical schematics, and ladder logic.

· Ability to troubleshoot PLCs (Allen-Bradley or Siemens preferred) and VFDs.

· Understanding of robotics, sensors, and motion control systems.

· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Suite; experience with CMMS software required.

· This role requires working in various areas of the facility, which may include hot, cold, dirty, or noisy environments, as well as working at heights or in confined spaces.

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and frequently bend, stoop, reach, and lift up to fifty (50) pounds.

· Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces when required.

· Regularly required to see, hear, and communicate clearly.

· Must be willing to work off-shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed to support production requirements.

Education and Experience:

· High school diploma or GED required.

· Two-year technical degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or related field preferred.

· Minimum of five (5) years of experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance, including mechanical and electrical systems (relevant military experience accepted).

· Demonstrated experience in automation, controls, and process improvement.

· Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification a strong plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $30.00 per hour
