The Lead Mammography Technologist performs mammography screening and diagnostic and interventional procedures, to help in the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease in women patients. The Lead directs and monitors the performance of assigned personnel, and collaborates with Imaging leadership and the medical director in the development and modification of tests, procedures, and protocols. This position assists in the training of students and technologists, and ensures their team maintains optimum timeliness, accuracy, proficiency, efficiency, and safety during the execution of duties.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
- Assume responsibility for self-development.
- Clean, maintain, and restock examination and inventory rooms.
- Collaborate on patient medical issues with the physician to determine protocol and procedure.
- Complete all imaging exams and procedures; identify optimal images for review to process and evaluate according to policy and protocol.
- Confirm patient identify and obtain and record patient identification; review and update patient documentation in EMR/PACS.
- Inspect equipment and perform minor machine maintenance; update and repair records or logs for further repair and maintenance.
- Monitor the operations of a unit, and provide input to the performance of individuals through feedback and recommendations.
- Participate in people management activities for unit team members such as performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and interviews.
- Practice established safety guidelines utilizes Alara and radiation reduction tools and techniques.
- Prepares for regulatory body accreditations (ARC, NAB) and annual inspections (MASA).
Qualifications
- Preferred Associate's Degree Radiology
- Required Certificate Radiology
- 1 year Mammography
Required - 1 year Radiology
Preferred - Radiology Technologist License (RADTECH) - State Licensing Board
- Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association
TRAVEL IS REQUIRED:
JOB RANGE:Lead Mammography Technologist $35.23-$48.45INCENTIVE:This position is eligible for shift pay for eligible shifts, and call pay for qualified on-call hours
