Memory Care Caregiver

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Memory Care Caregiver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional care to individuals with memory impairments, including Alzheimer's and dementia. This role involves assisting residents with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety, and fostering a supportive environment that promotes dignity and respect.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver compassionate, individualized care to residents in a memory care setting
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Administer first aid and medications as directed
• Help with safe mobility and resident transfers, including heavy lifting when needed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe living environment
• Uphold residents' rights and privacy in accordance with HIPAA regulations
• Prepare and serve meals; assist with feeding as needed
• Transport residents to medical appointments or group outings as assigned

Skills & Qualifications:

• Prior experience in senior care, memory care, or a caregiving role strongly preferred
• Familiarity with nursing home operations and care protocols
• Basic knowledge of first aid and medication administration
• Physically capable of assisting with transfers and performing heavy lifting
• Clear understanding of HIPAA and resident confidentiality
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to stay organized
